Ribbon Cutting & Open House to Celebrate the opening of the Ashland University's Founders School for Continuing Education.
The event will kick off with a brief program shortly after 3 p.m. The event will include a ribbon cutting organized by the Chamber of Commerce; remarks from AU President Dr. Fred Finks, AU Provost Dr. Frank Pettigrew and Ashland Mayor Glen Stewart; tours of the new facility and refreshments.
“We are very excited to be a part of the Ashland downtown now,” said Dr. Dwight McElfresh, dean of the Founders School. “We are looking forward to showing the public what we have here at Founders School on Main and what we can offer people.”
The Founders School of Continuing Education provides programs and services for non-traditional students in unique, innovative and collaborative environments. Programs run from non-degree certificates to degree opportunities geared toward the needs of working adults as well as numerous workshops and classes for educators that can be used for licensure renewal.
